Volvo Cars plans to carry out an autonomous driving trial – Drive Me London – in 2017, with autonomous vehicles and real people inside, on London roads, according to Motoring.
The initial fleet will start with a hand full of cars, but Volvo intends to increase the number to 100 in 2018. President and CEO of Volvo Cars, Hakan Samuelsson said: “Autonomous driving represents a leap forward in car safety. The sooner autonomous driving cars are on the roads, the sooner lives will start being saved.”
